We’re looking for families across all divisions to help set up tables at the Lower School in January, representing different cultures and traditions. The goal is to create an educational and engaging opportunity for students to explore multicultural New Year's celebrations throughout the year, while giving families a chance to share their unique customs and celebrations with the ESD community.

Please email me at luct@esdallas.org and let me know ahead of time so we can arrange seating. Pondering Purpose and Impact

As part of their Leadership Lab, our fourth graders recently practiced active listening, including listening with their eyes, ears, bodies, and hearts.

Pause and Ponder: The Impact of Active Listening
  • For younger children: How do you help others know you are listening to them carefully? How does it feel when your friends and family listen to you?
  • For older children, teenagers, and adults: How do you know when others are listening carefully to you, and how does that make you feel? How can active listening with your heart help you connect with others and better understand how you can make a positive impact on them?
