Join us for an engaging presentation by Jennifer Breheny Wallace, author of Never Enough: When Achievement Culture Becomes Toxic—and What We Can Do About It. This year's ESDPA Speaker Series will be held on September 10 at 6:30 p.m. in the Bray Theater. Below are some of the key points that will be covered at this event:

• Tools parents can use to help their kids feel like they "matter" and find their self-worth beyond academic, athletic, and extracurricular success.
• Identifying ways parents and caregivers can model a healthier mindset on achievement and building relationships, rather than relying on the expectation of self-reliance.
• Research and data on adolescents in high-achieving, affluent communities and schools.

Parents, we invite you to our 2025 Mini School Night for first through fourth grades on September 11, at 6:00 p.m. This is a chance for you to step foot in the Lower School and learn about your child's school year, meet teachers, learn about classroom procedures, teacher communication, curriculum, and special programming.

The ESD Alumni Association invites you to attend our Alumni Culture & Community Celebration, featuring alumna Luisa Navarro '08, on Thursday, September 18, from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. at ESD!

Luisa will be joining us to celebrate the launch of her debut book, Mexico’s Day of the Dead: A Celebration of Life Through Stories and Photos. Signed copies of her book will be available for purchase, and we'll have lunch bites, refreshments, and a special gift from CocoAndré, Chocolatier & Horchateria. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet Luisa, learn more about the vibrant traditions of Día de Muertos, and celebrate her incredible accomplishment.
