Big Thunderstorms and exams are arriving, so get ready for May! Here are some things to look for:

Evening Skies: Jupiter and Mars lead the setting winter stars. In May, they'll drop out of sight until they show up in the morning late summer.  Spring stars are high: the Big DipperLeo, and Arcturus wheel overhead through the night.

Full Moon: May 12.

Morning Skies: Venus and Saturn are low in the southeast. They'll get higher and more visible this month. The Summer Triangle, Sagittarius, and Scorpio rise just ahead of them.

Quarry/Outdoors: Cottonwood seeds are drifting like snow, and Flycatchers are starting to show up over the fields. Watch for Barn Swallows, Herons, Sandpipers, and Kingfishers!

Photo is a Common Loon, a beautiful winter/spring visitor. He’s laughing his head off at something, probably us and all our problems! Let’s listen to him and get outdoors!!
